FAQs
Do I need to book an appointment?
We highly recommend booking this session through our website or over the phone to secure your time in the studio. If there is an express need, we would like to schedule within 24-48 hours ahead of time.
How is an Iris Photo taken?
We typically use an Iris photo booth to capture the Irises. You place your head in the photo booth and keep your eye wide open for a brief moment. You can also hold your eye open with two fingers to help. Don't worry, we'll take several Iris photos and select the best one.
Who is the Iris photoshoot suitable for, and what should I pay attention to?
For the perfect Iris photos, we recommend that you come to our appointment with bare eyelashes and without contact lenses. While photography with contact lenses and mascara is possible, it may affect the results.
We recommend the Iris shoot for children ages 5 and up, as the head must be held still for the photo. The distance and flashlight can present younger children with an unfamiliar situation.
We also do NOT recommend the photoshoot for people with epilepsy or those who have had eye surgery, due to the flash sometimes being used consecutively.
Is an Iris Photoshoot harmful?
No, an Iris Photoshoot is not harmful to the eye, as the Iris Photo is taken with a flash, which is harmless to the eyes. There is an age limit for this styled portrait. No children under the age of 5 years old.
